I had a hearing today in Cleburne and on my way back to the Metroplex stopped off at the HEB in Burleson on Hwy. 174. Wow. I have read a few posts about this store but wanted to see it first hand. Well..... I was blown away on the craft beer in stock and the prices. Amazing! Although the demographics are changing, little 'ol Burleson is still a BBQ, fried chicken steak and NASCAR beer community. I was amazed at what I was saw and the prices. The beer guy at HEB-Burleson ("John") is the type of beer advocate we hope and pray for at all the bottle shops and stores we frequent. I wish I lived closer to Burleson! FYI, Stone Best By 4/1 at $7.49, no limit.
I live right down the street from it and man John does whatever it takes to please his customers. It also has a lot of older beer that people just don't buy so thinks like The Abyss sat there for over a week. I ended up grabbing about 5 from him because nobody else bought it.
