not sure if its still around, the difference was that it was the most bitter IPA I've ever had. Maybe they added too many hops, or exposed the beer to the hops for too long. No idea, but I wasn't a big fan.

NFC is their experimental line, they do about one per month or so, using different hop varieties, all NE IPAS, all different. I recall 4 and 7 being my favorites.

Heist has been fantastic across the board. They don't have a live online look at the tap list, but a lot of breweries and bars don't. They planned their expansion perfectly and have plenty of $ backing from what I understand. Not a single complaint about that place from me. you have to understand that just 12 months ago, their beer was considered sub-standard in the Charlotte market, and now they are gaining national steam withe the best beer in Charlotte, arguably NC (with second place imho being tied between WW, fonta flora, and High Branch). It takes a lot of breweries years of planning to do the kind of expansion they have rolled out extremely quickly all things considered.

Maybe not 12 months ago, but certainly 2 years ago.

Who are they falling short to? How are they not getting out of their own way? They sell out at nearly every release in a matter of hours....what communication isn't happening? I have not reviewed their financials so clearly you are privy to information that many of us are not. I am at Heist nearly weekly and my customer experience has been nothing but spectacular! Finally, I believe everything you stated in your final paragraph are already happening and have been in place since understanding the demand earlier in their growth phase. I'm unclear on your basis for your critiques.

Ha-sheem, I believe we may have met recently at the Happy Blending bottle release. If so, I enjoyed meeting you.

I am just an observer, no more. I enjoy craft beer and entrepreneurial ventures. I am certainly not trying to stir up controversy. I was sharing my own opinion that Heist was in position to scale sooner than they did. I am thrilled they are expanding!

I thought Heist did a great job with their Cataclysm III release, well messaged in advance and well managed on the day of the release. Their recent posts regarding the availability of Citraquench’l were also well done.

Like you, I have experienced nothing short of great experiences while visiting Heist.

I don't live in Charlotte and like others that have posted in this thread, I have received conflicting information from Heist staff when calling ahead to check on availability. I travel a good bit for business and whenever I visit a city, I check the websites and social media feeds of the breweries that I would like to visit. There are breweries with greater demand than Heist that do a much better job of posting their availability.

Like I said up thread, I am a big fan of Heist, but if I were in their shoes... I would be looking to build an exceptional customer experience. I wouldn't be resting on my laurels because I could sell out every release in a matter of hours. I think Heist is going to get it right.
