Wel crap. I'm a huge comics geek, and the label art is (of course) awesome. But it's a red ale... from Rogue. Eh, I'll probably buy it for the label art alone.

I'm not Rogue's biggest fan, but that is awesome. Hellboy has always been my favorite comic book character and a red ale is very suiting.

I don't see any info about distribution anywhere. Does Rogue really expect me to order it online and have it shipped if I want it?

Label art is great, but I'll probably pass to many misses recently from Rogue for me to spend the inevitable overpricing of this beer

Everyone hates rogues; is this because they are overpriced(which I admit), or because they makes some ridiculous beers(which I admit), or for other reasons? But, I do think a good amount of their beer is pretty delicious..

I wonder if Dark Horse Brewing would have something to say about the words "Dark Horse" showing up on a beer label....

You would think Rogue is big enough to clear things about legal issues, but cue another trademark infringement?

Ten years ago I loved Rogue, I still like and admire some of their beers like Shakespeare and Juniper Pale Ale. But my respect for their brewing died several years ago when I went to a beer dinner with 40 different Rogue beers on tap and realized that 3/4 of them were almost identical, overly bitter, nearly aroma-less, muddy brown pale ales. Awful beer after awful beer, punctuated by a handful of decent offerings and a couple of classics. Add to that the ridiculous pricing (especially kegs) and some of the garbage water level stuff they've done in the last couple of years and I think they have earned the derision that the hard core, jaded beer geeks throw their way.

Yeah, they could have gotten Dark Horse to work the label, or bought something here: http://www.comicraft.com

Let's see -- Dark Horse Comics established 1986. Dark Horse Brewing established 1997.

    Who has the argument?

I'd say on the label of a beer named for a comic book character is about the only place comic sans font IS appropriate...
(Not familiar with Dark Horse's books - they came well after my comic book era - were they hand lettered?)

Mostly their 1 note yeast favors. Price is my big factor, plus deal guy ale, is just terrible. I do not get them
