Stouts? No. Unfortunately really great American Imp/Double and Russian Imp Style stouts have ruined me as far as your regular old Am or milk stout. I feel like an alcoholic because I actively seek the "bigger badder" stouts, which are naturally have a higher abv.

I then think to myself... Well you don't always choose a double/imp ipa over an American IPA. (Ftr, I don't enjoy Belgian IPAs). While still probably higher percentage of the ones I buy/drink are doubles, it's not due to the alcohol. Sculpin and Blind Pig are in my top 5 IPAs. Then my others are still in the 8-10% and not those whopping 12 and 13%.

I have just started into the world of sours, even though I have loved saisons/farmhouse/wilds for quite a while.. The group of wild Belgian beers is hands down my favorite being packed full of flavor at a very low (in BA terms) abv. So can anyone suggest any widely available stouts that have big time flavor. Stouts in my fridge, not aging, are BBB batch 20, Night Tripper, Double Barrel Jesus, 9(of 12) Expeditions, and a Stone IRS. No "regular" stouts in sight. Anyone know a single with these levels of flavor?

I for one prefer a good stout. Especially a barrel aged or bourbon barrel aged stout. Something with very little carbonation, rich chocolate, vanilla, burnt malts, coffe & high bourbon burn is my favorite. Ones that come to mind; BCBS, Dark Horizon, Sweet Horizon, Brotherhood of the barrel batch 1 & Velvet Merlin.
