@StoneGreg last month I got a text with a pic of you. My friend asked me of I know who you were. The dumbest question ever in my mind, but apparently they did not know! really cool of you to invite them for a private tour around the facilities in Berlin. The movie was headhunters and is not Swedish, it is Norwegian if you did not ever get the answer from them.

The story was posted on Swedens best beer blog and is quite amazing, in Swedish but still worth to google translate!

So big kudos to Greg and Stone for the open mindness to invite people like this! I hope more people will get the same treatment, I wish I will once!

Yes! Headhunters was the movie I accidentally discovered a couple years ago. Sorry that I didn't recall which Scandinavian country it originated from. ;-]-=

Anyway, thanks for the kind writeup. Super cool meeting and sharing beer with you guys! Glad we got a chance to meet at the future home of StoneBerlin so I could show you around. Hope to see you again next year once we're open!

@StoneGreg Since a picture of you at Heidenpeters is wandering through the web, I HAVE to ask, how did you enjoy the Heidenpeters Ales? I'm asking because I think they belong to the best the german craft movement has to offer thus far and am curios about your thoughts, if you remember.

I'm drinking one of Heidenpeter's beers at the moment. Quite pleasant.

If I remember? Ha! I have visited their place many times in MarktHalle Neun over the past few years. I am a fan of Johannes Heidenpeters' work. Besides brewing a variety of very tasty and creative beers, he's truly a wonderful guy.

"Um mit außergewöhnlichen Bierspezialitäten noch mehr Leute zu erreichen und um die neue Bierbewegung noch weiter voranzubringen, wollen wir noch viele weitere Bierotheken® im ganzen Bundesgebiet eröffnen.

Daher haben wir eine Crowdfunding Kampagne gestartet, um noch mehr Aufmerksamkeit auf die Sache zu lenken und Mittel für die Eröffnung weiterer Läden einzuwerben."

Googley translated it says (not the best, but non-German speakers will get the idea):

"with exceptional beer specialties in order to even more people to achieve and the new beer in order to move forward, yet we still want to many other bierotheken® throughout the Federal Republic.

That is why we have launched a crowdfunding campaign for more attention to the thing to steer and resources for the opening of other shops context."

A bunch of SAB Miller execs will probably be looking for new jobs soon.

Whether the AB InBev - SABMiller deal goes through or not is still speculative.

I would think that somebody(s) that work at the MillerCoors brewery in Eden, North Carolina would be motivated to find a new job right now!

    Cheers!

An interesting interview with Greg Koch with some discussion about Stone Berlin and the German beer industry.

    Cheers!
