I will be in Myrtle Beach Sept 12-15. Can you advise me where to buy beers to drink at the hotel? I'd like to try some good South Carolina beers while there. I like almost anything, but a great IPA or well made lager would suit me just fine.
Also, any idea where the Thursday night football game (featuring the Packers) on the NFL network will be shown?
I'm totally clueless about Myrtle Beach, and haven't had time to research anything beer-wise or tourism-wise. I'll be there with my two kids (10 & 13) on this last minute getaway.
And are bars kid-friendly, at least to a certain time, like in Milwaukee?
    Cheers!
    Chris

Carolina Ale House has NFL Sunday Ticket, at least the ones here in Central NC do. Kid friendly usually, and decent beer.

Hit the piggly wiggly at market commons for a good beer selection and growler fills. Go to myrtlebeachcraftbeer.com.

    There it is.

Liberty Ale House at Broadway at the Beach fits the bill, it's a brew pub, nothing bottled. Decent beer, good food, separate bar from dining room. Mellow Mushroom is across the street, maybe more beers your familiar with, but either works.

You could try Beach Discount Beverage for growler fills. I was there Sunday and they had Devil Dancer for $18, New South Brewing IPA for 5.99, Bells Two Hearted for 9.99, and one more I cant remember. I thought there growler pricing was a lot better than The Pigs but there bottle selection isn't as great. Make sure to take your own growlers though, they were charging 6.99 to buy one of theirs.

Liberty Taproom has a pretty good happy hour. And for sc beers I would look for stuff by Westbrook or Coast. Westbrook IPA would be a good one to pick up that is easy to find.

I second Liberty Taproom for a good happy hour and football. They have a great patio and plenty of TV's for football.
