Just a thought for order (no food)
    gose
    wild
    barley
    IPA
If it's paired with food. I'd probably have the IPA with the main course, and probably the gose or wild as the desert beers and get the barleywine on the appetizer portion. At least with a barfood leaning kind of meal.

Hmmmm...sounds good, not debating here..but I figured last should be the sours because the acidity will prob destroy our pallets.FYI we just having chicken dinner with a possibility of dessert.

My recommendation, by lighter color/lower abv to darker
    color/higher abv. To All:
Feel free to pick and choose, you're the one drinking.

    Gose
    Wild
    IPA
    Barleywine

There's always exceptions, but I generally like going low ABV to high ABV when tasting different beers regardless of style or color. I think the bitterness in the IPA would neutralize the sour flavors from the first two and get you nice and ready for the richness of the barleywine. My $.02

Most people I talk with say to drink the hoppiest beers last, hop flavor tends to stay with you.

    F it man...

Eat desert first and drink the barleywine
Pour a stout instead of the gose
Play beerpong with cans of Heady
Save the wild for Sunday Night Football

Regardless of what you do, enjoy yourself!!!!

Depending on the bitterness of the barleywine I'd suggest this order, as the IPA may mess with the flavor profile of the barleywine. I prefer IPAs last in a flight anyway as they cleanse the pallet and add a nice crisp finish, but that may just be me.

Others may disagree with me, but here's what I recommend. I think it depends on how many beers of each you're serving, and how potent they each are.

High ABV, high IBU, and very sour beers each have a way of impacting your palate for quite a while. Conversely, some styles are much better than others at overcoming a tired palate (I can always drink, and enjoy, a big stout, even after a night of IPAs).

I agree that Goses should go first. After that, though...how strong is the IPA? How sour are the wilds? And again, how many? I think changing things up can be beneficial. So, drink the Goses, then maybe a Barleywine before a wild or an IPA.

I find that, sometimes, after some big or sour beers, a lighter IPA or APA actually serves to lighten and refresh my palate. So really, I think it just depends.

    No matter what, enjoy!

    Gose
    Wild
