Seriously, @bowzer4birdie, Charleston has just about as many current threads as in this forum as Asheville, Charlotte and Tampa. Quick search will yield great results.

Hit Westbrook on Mt. Pleasant across the bridge. They're the top rated brewery in the state.

Charles Towne Fermentory might be up and running by then if all goes well. I'm going to be there Oct 19-21.

Skip Husk and put that money towards Edmunds Oast...top 5 beer bar in the country. Husk is ok and good for lunch during the week, but a definite tourist trap. Get the charcuterie board and their house brews at Edmunds and thank me later! They always have gems on tap as well, they've had Pirate Bomb on for at least a month...

Also make sure to hit up House of Brews in Mt Pleasant before or after Westbrook...great local beer drinkers spot w a great staff. 8 taps, fantastic cooler selection, incredible prices, and solid retail...

If I were you I'd plan one afternoon to hit up Westbrook and House of Brews. One night at Edmunds Oast for sure. And definitely hit up Moe's Crosstown for lunch or dinner one night, @FrankieMtP keeps a great taplist running over there and it's a solid, diverse local crowd (and you may be able to set up an IP trade w him). I'd check out Revelry when you are over that way as well, the Rooftop bar should be open by then.

Coast is the locals brewery of choice, best beer and best people! It's not far from downtown, so don't shy away from it being in 'North Charleston'. Hit me up if you have any questions...

@CHSASVbeer thanks for the info. I'll be there in a couple of weeks. The last time I was there I was only able to pass through and spend about 45 mins. Just happened to be there for MC release. Ended up at Charleston Exchange and had to get back on the road. I'll definitely try to hit a lot of these places up over the weekend.
