    Hello All!

I have an older TDD-1 True Kegerator - 3 spigot tower at home. I have a 10# tank connected by a dual body regulator (taprite.) The 10# tank fits on a shelf in the back of the kegerator perfectly, however when I connect the regulator to the CO2 tank, the top gauge of the regulator, is higher than the ceiling of the shelf (doesn't fit) In the meantime I've had to angle regulator so the CO2 hoses are pointed at the door of the kegerator, rather than the floor.

At one point on some sort of homebrew/kegerator website - I found an angled extension that goes between the CO2 tank and the regulator lowering the physical height of the regulator in respect to the height of the CO2 tank. If you've heard of the part or know what I'm talking about please provide details... many thanks in advance!

Just finished off a 1/6th barrel of Ride the Wendigo by Clown Shoes, and almost emptied 2014 production Extremely Angry Beast by Clown Shoes.

Its fine. My beverage Air is the same way. Not sure why the designed these thing that close to where it just misses.[IMG] Just pull tank out and angle the opposite way. Unless I'm missing something with your problem.[IMG]

    That's a 5# cylinder? He has a 10#.

I think the solution is to do what he is doing now, angle the regulator. Or get a 5# tank.
    Cheers.

Beautiful setup btw - it looks amazing.
My issue is just a tad bit more extreme, as either the ceiling is slight shorter, tank slightly higher, or gauges sitting higher. The angle of my regulator goes past the overhang of the ceiling, and ends up touching my kegs.

I tried fitting a 3rd keg the other day and had a lot of issues with the regulator gauge taking up space at its angle (tight fit with 3x 1/6 barrel kegs.) I want to also place a Nitro gas tank on the shelf as well. Ultimately going to a #5 co2 tank might be answer... However I know that this angled extension I speak of exists.

Too late for that, you only get a short window to edit.

    No problem.
So you do have a 5# tank?

Also, beer gas, what you want, not Nitro, does not come in 5# tanks, it is sold by volume not weight. and you should know it will go pretty quickly. a lot quicker than 100% CO2. not many folks realize this. so if you have your heart set on Guinness etc., know that you'll go through 30L bottles very quickly.

    Cheers.

how about "outboarding" the regulator to the back wall of unit and use one of these?

A more useful, though admittedly, more invasive solution would to move the gas outside the kegerator. It solves your immediate problem, solves the added problem of a nitro tank taking up even more space, and it also allows you to get a bigger tank. 20# of CO2 tends to be a helluva lot cheaper per lb than 5 or even 10. Not to mention the convenience of buying gas only once every year or two instead of every few months.

Yep and all it takes is a 1" whole and some spray foam or putty to fill the gap
