    Hello fellow BA's,

I was just wondering if Cantillon has any distribution in MA. I've seen them in America because of Instagram...lots of people find them in bottle shops. I don't really want to trade for them because I would have to trade a lot of beer to score one, but I would sure as hell pay for one! Any ideas?

They pop up really sporadically. I know Ball Square Fine Wines in Somerville seems to get about one or two cases a year, and I remember Craft Beer Cellar in Belmont having a lottery for some a few years back, but you can't reliably find it around. Your best bet is to order from somewhere like Belgium in a Box or Etre'.

Will those places ship to MA, I thought it was kind of illegal...not that I'm against shipping in and out of Mass, i'm just wondering if those websites will allow it?

It also pops up in some bars/restaurants from time to time. Split an awesome bottle of 2013 Fou Foune with my finacee at The Hawthorne a couple months ago. It was ~$40, which I considered extremely reasonable.

There are some bars with bottles if you're willing to spend a little extra. Armsby Abbey currently has Classic Gueuze.

It honestly wouldn't take too much effort to trade for some cantillon. There is enough out there to get it done. You just need to be willing to ship, and able to pick up some rarish beers that are available in this area. Do you go to treehouse ever? I'm sure you could find somebody willing to swap a cantillon for some treehouse growlers. Check the ISO/FT forum and you can get this done.

Treehouse is a little far from me as I live in Peabody but I should be making a trip up to Hill Farmstead soon, that might do the trick...

Well worth the effort, Tree House and Trillium are both putting out world class beers.

Sorry, yes in Boston. It was fancy, they even served it in a fancy bucket of ice to keep it chilled.

Sounds like you are North Shore, but I've seen Cantillion at the Dirty Truth in Northampton pretty regularly. Also at The Moan and Dove in Amherst. I would wager their proximity to Shelton Bros headquarters has factor in their supply.

You're better off keeping an out Drie Fonteinen. Cheaper, more available, and just as good if not better. Other wise you have to pay restaurant prices, pay shipping costs, or count your blessings.

Yep Peabody...I really love lambics I'll keep my eyes peeled and grab some 3F in the meantime I can find it pretty regularly. Just trying to source one bottle for my girlfriend, she is really into Lambics as well and it's her birthday on 1/24/15
