hi guys I’ve just built a home bar and have had a 4 way t bar installed. 2 lagers, 1 cider and a bitter. For some reason the one beer line is foamy causing excessive wastage. Not sure what to do. Also not sure if my cooler is working correctly?? It’s very cold but is it suppose to have a solid block of ice built up around the pipes? Any advice would be appreciated.

Foam is usually caused by an imbalance between temperature and applied pressure or temperature changes along the beer line. What kind of cooler are you talking about? Cooled tower? Pictures would help.

Looks like you have a temp problem. Could be other issues, but certainly temperature is one of them.

The good news is that with visible ice you know that the coils are getting cold. Ice will form if your seals are leaky. Moisture is getting inside the appliance and freezing.

Place a bright light inside the cooler and close the door. Turn off the room lights and look for light leakage. That is your air leak. Fix that. Seal as much as possible, even little air leaks add up. Then we can try to fix anything else.

    Cheers
