Hey was hoping for some suggestions. I am doing my bachelor party in August and we are heading up to Montreal. We are stopping off in Vermont for a night and hitting Hill Farmstead around lunch and then alchemist and ultimately staying in Burlington. What should I expect from HF being that I have never been there before? Do they do tastings and can you order pints to chill there or is it strictly growler fills and retail bottles only? I was looking for any suggestions on any other must do's while we are in the area or for reccamendations for a cool bar/restaurant to hit up that night in Burlington. Thanks!

They have a tasting at HF. You get to buy tastes while you wait in line for the fills, no pints and no place to chill. There are no naked ladies for your party, but there is a very friendly dog.

I enjoyed Farmhouse when I visited Burlington. HF on tap, 'Loons in the cellar, homemade pickles.

Once I was at HF standing in line to get some growlers filled and a limo rolled up. Dudebro's in a bachelor party. That was weird. Get lunch at Parker Pie.

I'd forgo Burlington altogether if it were me. Go to HF, drive down to Waterbury and stop by Rock Art on the way. Hit the Alchemist and stay at the Old Stagecoach Inn. You've got Prohibition Pig, the Reservoir and Blackback all within 2 minutes walking distance of the Inn. Blackback is my favorite bar ever! If you have a DD, you could drive 20 minutes or so South and hit the Three Penny taproom in Montpelier and the Hunger Mountain Co-op has a great bottle selection. If you do go to Burlington, hit American Flatbread - great beer and beer.
