Need help on where to buy beer and places to eat. I plan to go to Warehouse #1 to eat, has anyone been there lately?
I was in Monroe for about 24 hours and, while I didn't seek out beercentric places (was there for a football game), I went to 2-3 bars and was underwhelmed. Dropped by a grocery store as well to check out the selection. I left only with a sixer of Abita Root Beer. That should tell you what you need to know. There could be some hidden gems there, but they are definitely hidden.
My parents, sister, and brother-in-law live there. Stick with crawfish (Cormier's and Coney Island), and suck down a couple of Abitas. You won't find any really good beers. The best place to seek anything is Tonore's on Louisville St., and they are mediocre at best.
