Morning BA, I'll be heading to Monroe alittle later this morning and was wondering if there is any place to get some decent craft beer. ( Yes, I know nothing good comes outta Monroe so NOT planning on stopping at Minah's ) Just looking for a place to pick up some decent WI brews NG, Ale Asylum, Capitol, or any others for that matter. I'll be heading up from Illinois most likely going through Freeport, IL So if anyone Happen's to know any place in Freeport as well to grab something that would be much appreciated as well. Just google a woodman's. I hear they have a good selection. BTW WI can't sell alcohol after 9pm, I found that out the hard way.
not entirely true. beer sale cutoff times vary by municipality. up here in GB we can buy beer from gas stations until 12. as a take-away from bars until close (if they offer it) and beer from stores offering liquor/wine until 9.
I'm sure you have an excellent reason not to but why not drive another 20 min north to the NG brewery? They have a beer shop plus a nice gift shop.
Short on time, lucked out and found everything I was after at Brennan's & Monroe Beverage Mart. Im back home already what a great trip Unfortunately my wallet is over a Hundo lighter. but all is good. Even found FFF at the Beverage Mart. so for me double win.
