Here's my problem... I'm not sure what options I should or shouldn't active when setting up a shipment using FedEx online. All I know is that I regularly pay around 25 bucks to ship maybe 150 oz of beer. I've never paid under 15. What am I doing wrong? I know guys who ship all their stuff for around 15. What option do I need to select to get the price down?

get an actual account, not just a sign in and password.

Care to elaborate? All I do is sign in. Should I be doing more? How does one get an actual account?

click on "register now". Then "Open a Fedex Account".

As for saving on shipping, what size box are you using? That goes a long way in their pricing. Also, trade less. Keep it simple. Not trying to sound like an a$$, but I know there's a lot of beer to be had. Keep trades simple and to those that are within close proximity to where you live. I.E. shipping to Maine from Oregon may be pricey.

as stated above and, whenever possible, ship to a business address (like your trade partners work) instead of a residence

You can have a single ship user account that is completely different than having an actual account. If you still see the " save 15% percent" promotion then you haven't set up an actual account. It took me a while to learn this.

That was an incredibly vague post. The cost of shipping varies based on distance, weight, and box size. 150oz coast to coast should probably run you about $20-$25. 150oz from VA to FL might still run you $15. A lot also depends on how big of a box you are using.

Basically it's tough to say if you're doing anything wrong based on the info you provided.
