Help! I'll be traveling through TN and AR this weekend on I65 & I40. Can I buy any local beers at gas stations and how about Sunday sales? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In TN Sunday sales have to occur after noon. Also all high gravity is sold through liquor stores which are also required by law to be closed on sunday. As far as local stuff, I can only really speak for Memphis. Wiseacre stuff is easy to get in grocery stores, and worth the pickup. Tiny Bomb just won bronze at GABF, but Ananda and tarasque are both good too.

Nashville gets better distro, so if you go through there a few more options open up.

As far as places to visit in Memphis, Wiseacre is my suggestion. High cotton is also a good one, but if you had to pick go Wiseacre.

I think AR has similar laws as far as sundays go... honestly I haven't gone too far into arkansas for beer as west memphis isn't the best for that. Bigger cities get prairie stuff, but the best place to go in west memphis is the walgreens right off I40. I wish I were joking.

    Hope this helps

Local beers in AR at gas station is hit and miss and they may not be fresh. Buy direct from the brewery. Diamond Bear in North Little Rock is not too far off your path. They have a retail area that sells packaged beer legally on Sundays due to the brewery laws.

Most of Arkansas is under the "Blue" law which prohibits Sunday sales of Alcohol of any kind.
