    Hey Guys,

i'm new to Beer Advocate. Here is my problem:

Every pour from the tap is almost completely foam. I have a 4.4 cubic ft home made Danby kegerator. I only have one corny keg in there and my system runs 6 ft of Bevlex 200 at 3/16 inch diameter. My pressure is set at 12PSI and the fridge temperature is roughly 4 degrees celsius (40 F). Can anyone help me with my problem? I have been all over the internet looking for a solution. Most seem to think its a balancing problem. can anybody tell me the ideal PSI?

Also can overcarbonation be a source of the problem? I force-carbonated my beer at 30PSI for roughly 3 days

    Thanks!

Could be over-carbed, you could also have debris in your dip tube, or you may have forgotten to add the dip tube o-ring.

12 psi @ 40° with 6ft of line will not cause the pour to be all foam.

If your line length, temperature, and PSI setting are accurate, your setup should be reasonably balanced.
If so, I suspect your fast force carbonation is the issue. You'll want to bleed the pressure periodically until it equalizes.

After much searching/trial and error.... I found that my dip tube was too long/not bent enough at the bottom causing it to syphon almost at the very bottom/not a good pickup surface area. Bent it a bit and issue solved.

    Commonly though:
-O ring not seated properly on dip tube top
-Hop blockage partially be in the dip tube or the tubing
-Faucet has gunk built up if not cleaned frequently

I carbonate over time though (3 weeks at 12psi no shaking) Soooo yeah. Maybe do that to avoid this rubbish

Not without some more details, this explains it a little better. Also probable you are overcarb'ed, rotating your PRV valve a 1/4 turn for ~30 minutes will take it down to zero. Expect a long wait for changes to take effect. You can research the problem in the Home Bar forum a little easier.
