Help me choose a bourbon

    I boil the oak chips first for a few minutes, pour out the tannin rich water, let dry then soak them in the bourbon for 1-3 weeks. Note, I am making my own oak chips and toasting them, so not used to bought oak material.

    Benchmark. Cheap and adequate. Save the good stuff for sipping.

    I cannot help you much with a bourbon choice but the recipe looks great.

    What kind of equipment do you have to accommodate an 8 qt boil?
