Help me name my first batch of homebrew.

    I need your help Advocates. My first batch of beer needs a great name. Something seriously funny and clever would be perfect. For example: Liquid Fence. Excavator Double IPA. and so on. When the best name comes up, that's the beer style I'll do my best to make...even if it is whacko. Let's have fun! Cheers!

    I have way too many, sir. But they are being held for potential future projects. I can't give them up. I'm sure you have some good ideas in your head.

    Do you have the chilling equipment in order to ferment a lager? if so, how about Gut Czech Pilsner? Not knowing your brewing skills, it might be a tongue-in-cheek appropriate name to use for a first-brewed batch (although I'll give you a vote of confidence only because you're hanging out in this forum). :wink:

    I'll just find the coolest darkest tucked away spot at home and cover it. That's all I can do for now. Thinking about building a low table for stuff so it's not on the floor. When I go get ingredients I'm sure I'll get a lot of tips! Cheers!

    Don't give up on using the floor; sometimes it gives you just that 2-3 degrees of a lower temp that can make a difference in having a good fermentation temp, thus reducing the possibility of unwanted esters in your beer.

    Thank you! Good to know. My reasoning for "off the floor" is cause of in-floor heating throughout the basement slab. I never wear shoes all winter! It could present problems for brewing. However, one room has a dark corner with 2 cold walls. I'm eyeing that. Cheers!

    How about batch #1? Start numbering them and when you can brew a great beer then you can name it. There is no one and done.
