Flying into either Shreveport staying in Kilgore. I know the area is sparse in terms of a lot of things go, just curious if there are any bars worth checking out or a Spec's/mom&pops store with a surprising selection? Anything helps.

    Cheers!

Hit up the Southwest Regional Forum, which hosts Texas.

I will say, Odell (from Colorado) started distributing to Texas last year. I'd recommend checking their stuff out if unfamiliar with them. Might not be locally brewed, but great beer that you don't get in VA.

If you're in Shreveport, check out the local brewery Great Raft. They have some good stuff on tap and bottles.

I ended up at cuban liquor, cool place good wine too wine lady knew her stuff and saw me coming in too. Prairie, lambikX, smaller production Bruery stuff. I stopped myself at 4 bottles and 60$ of beer didn't wan't to see how bad it can get… that and suitcases just aren't as big as they used to be.

Cuban has the best overall selection in Shreveport. Tony's and Wine Country Bottle Shop will have some hidden gems usually when I am in town visiting.
