Of converting my friends/family to all the good that is craft beer. I could use some help in 'conversion beers'.

Please recommend a brand/style that would be friendly to their palate and that I can buy them to replace these beers:

    Natty Light
    Coors Light
    Miller Light.

Of course, my wife went from drinking Stella Artois right to DFH 90 min, so you never know.

    Have fun!

some great local beers you can do that with.

    Devil's Backbone Vienna Lager
    Blue Mountain Lager
    Blue Mountain Full Nelson IPA
    Blue Mountain Kolsch 151
    Devi'ls Backbone Turbo Cougar
Flying Dog Old Scratch Amber Lager

and many more. Those are ones that are pretty easy to drink and shouldn't be hard to find.

Allagash White is always a good conversion beer.

Thanks for all the help so far. I'm not a fan of Lagers/Pilsners at all so I don't know what to recommend.

I bought my brother-in-law a bottle of weihenstephaner hefeweissbier a few months ago and he's been balls deep in it every since. That's one success story, but need some more to get him hooked.

Try Kulmbacher EKU Pils, Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest, Full Nelson Pale Ale, Sierra Nevada PA, Ballast Point Wahoo Amber, and maybe a good fresh Bell's Two Hearted will land at just the right moment of receptibility to make a mark. Good luck.

Mama's little Yella Pils - Avery White Rascal - maybe any Pumpkin beer so they can see what different flavors are out there.

There are some good suggestions above, I would also recommend trying Sky Blue from Carolina Brewery if you can find it. It is in cans. Not really my cup of tea, but a good starter beer.
