I honestly think there is something off in this years batch from the nc location

That's amazing. I might buy 3 4-packs a year eventhough it's one of my favorite beers. Just a lot at $15/4-pack. Worth it, just makes me savor them a bit more.

Dude, at $8.49/4-pk I'd buy a few cases.
It would instantly be my go-to imperial stout.

Broanoke, I appreciate your candor .

How do we find out which location brewed a batch? These cans are stamped 9/5/13 with the phrase " Randy's song " last two letters are smudged.

Anyone have insight to the meaning of the "Randy's song"? Ive googled it but results are inconclusive.

I meant I might buy 3 4-packs at the $15 rate I get now. Would definitely stock up at $8.

I only have 1 TenFidy, but I just may crack it open to warm me up from the fridgedness here in Pittsburgh.

I just had Narwhal recently and some people in that other thread did claim Ten Fidy was worth the extra 5+ bucks over Narwhal. Im not a huge RIS fan to begin with but to me Narwhal was fine and I dont think Id want Ten Fidy for anything other than a tick.

Don't think Ten Fidy has ever been in six packs, I would certainly welcome it though!

Yep. $16.99 at Wegmans. Haven't tried it yet due to the price. Thoughts?

Best thing about Thanksgiving at my house...bro-n-law brings my Ten Fidy supply. And I'm very thankful for that!

It's good, but it's price point here in PA is nearly prohibitive.
Still, you should drink it at least once.

Target off Colorado. Only one in the area that sells liquor, because of that weird CO law.

No laws are as bad as the ones we have here in PA...well except for the ohio abv one

To clarify: did y'all who have experienced a "vanilla-forward" TenFIDY this year have the CO or NC versions? I ask, because that description just makes me want TenFIDY even more.

8.49 is WAY under cost. somebody f-d up. You could take the backwards approach, and ask to talk to the owner. Tell them they are losing 3.00 per 4 pack, and they may hook you up from there on out for being knowledgeable and honest. If it is last years and they are trying to move it, just buy it all.

Have always found this one to be better with some age on it than fresh, personally. Have yet to try this years version.

I've bought it wegmans for 4@$16. Last year I got a case for $105. So yes not a daily sipper.

I'll be the first to scoff at a brewery for thinking their brand is worth more than it is, or that their hype is big enough to justify their overpricing a beer. It is probably as high as i will ever pay speaking in $/oz terms. But for me this is the be all end all RIS with no known substitute. I find it has more going on than any other I've tried. So to you people on the fence, i say go ahead and pull the trigger at least once.

To the OP, i think it tastes correct. It does change when it's older. (I like it fresh). I will say my first one of the season tasted off, but i think my palette was what was off that day. The rest of the 4 pack was hittin'.
