I agree with that sentiment. Just not sure if the long cycles and lag between cycles are beneficial for the kegerator.

Sure enough I just checked the water temp towards the start of the cooling cycle (just below 42 on the inkbird pv) and it is now at 41f all the sudden. I reduced the cooling differential to 5f now to hopefully minimize This upswing. Hopefully getting close here

Alright yet another (this time disappointing/frustrating) update. After dialing in at 39f with the above settings using the 5 Gallon bucket test, I placed my 3 kegs back into the kegerator last night. During my test runs the 5 gallon water bucket was in the middle of the kegerator, I had a half gallon container in the rear, and a gallon jug towards the front. I was able to have all 3 read within a few tenths of a degree. My beer can with zip tied probe was in the middle next to the bucket (in a spot I knew had space when filled with 3 corny kegs.

Fast forward to tonight. After clearing each of the lines and pouring into a room temp glass, my beer temps are 49f for the front two kegs and 46f for the rear keg. The 46f keg is a low carbonated stout so pours are ok but the front two kegs are foamy.

Any ideas what might be causing this? In the past my bucket tests have always translated well to actual performance with kegs in the system. I lowered the set value from 36f to 34f (still with a 5f cooling differential) but I don't see any way as is it will magically cool to the 38-40f range.

What temp were the kegs when you put them in and how long did you wait before doing this temp test?

Haha obvious question right? all kegs were at or very near to serving temp when I put them into the kegerator. Two were stored in my second bev air kegerator and one in my enclosed porch in western ny (ambient temps mid to upper 30s). I waited over
24 hours before conducting the temp test.

I'm kinda miffed. It has to be something with either the kegerator simply dying before my eyes or increased thermal mass messing with the probe somehow.
