Newbie here to both the Forum and as a Kegerator owner. I bought a used Haier Kegerator. I have a few problems and I am wondering if I could get a little help.

    1. Temperature - I bought a sixtel of Landshark just to test the system out. The temp inside was in the 40's two days ago but its now at 50. There is also a large amount of ice on the back plate of the unit. I assume its because the door has been opened and doesn't seal properly. I have had the door opening and closing as I try to get the CO2 right so its partly my fault and the top corner of the door doesn't seal properly. If you push on the door it does finally catch the seal. I thought the door was bent but it doesn't look like it. The seal itself looks ok but it just doesn't reach the door at the top. I have been shutting it at night and putting some duct tape on it to keep the door completely shut but I think I did the damage before then.

    2. A leak behind the collar where you attach the faucet. It was leaking when I first got it. I pulled it part and cleaned all the lines today and when I went to reattach the faucet, I put some plumbers tape on it. It helped a little but it still drips every once in a while from behind the collar.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate the help. We are having a graduation party this weekend for our daughter so we will go through two halfs but once the party is over, I'd like to get things rolling to have kegs of beer in it all the time.

    Thanks everyone.

Door seal is very important to prevent frosting of the cold plate.

(Small black washer sits under the serrations on faucet mating surface.)-see next post below
