Yep, another one of these threads. I'm honestly at a loss with regard to whether the 2008 Dark Lord puts me in a position where I can potentially get something done for a Blueberry Eisbock. This is due to receiving polar opposite responses to ISO:FT threads I've posted. Responses have ranged from people complimenting the offer to suggestions that I need to add something on the order of a 2007 DL to the 2008. As with any trade, this ultimately will come down to two people agreeing on an exchange they both can be happy with. However, I wanted to consult with the community at large to get an idea whether I am overshooting and should set my sights elsewhere or if I just need to wait for the right person to see one of my posts. Thanks.

If I had a Blueberry Eisbock, I wouldn't trade it for a 2008 Dark Lord. I think you would probably have to find someone pretty generous and looking to complete a vertical to pull it off, and even then it might be rough.

I would agree I have a couple blueberry eisbocks and I wouldn't do that trade. I am trading one for some CFH hope that helps

The thing going for you is that most people know that if they're going to go after one DL, it should be the 2008, assuming they care about flavor.

^ this. Except most people who care about flavor don't trade for DL.

^ this. And people who care about DL dont trade for (or care about) flavor (regular DL that is).

An old beer of dubious quality won't typically do well for a fresh beer of exceptional quality, even if they are of comparable scarcity.

I feel like most people that shit on Dark Lord have never had properly cellared 5-6 year old bottle, it's really a completely different beer. Of course Dark Lord is shit fresh, it's shit fresh every year.

That being said I probably wouldn't trade a KBE for an '08 DL.

I imagine there's a lot more '08 DL floating around than KBE
