Just now opened, poured and drank one glass of Pure Hoppiness. Noticed no aroma when first opened. Poured flat. No aroma or head. Looked different. Tasted way off flavor. Not the Pure I remembered. On a Pig now. Soooo much better. Left the remaining PH in bottle. The thing is I bought two bottles from same location. So I know the other bottle is the same, flat. Should I dump the other bottle? Or should i open and drink one pour ASAP and dump rest? Or should I . . . . . . . . .? I thought I saw a thread here on this subject recently? Or am I dreaming?
Hard to believe that you really think that this is a problem. The bottle you drank may have just been bad. Maybe the cap got tweaked or something else happened to the bottle. No guarantee that the other bottle is bad. I'd drink the other bottle. This is a bottle to drink fast in any event. It's not like anyone is going to age or even keep Pure Hoppiness for any length of time - it's best fresh. And, why would you dump the other bottle? The question seems a bit weird. Better you should open it and try it! Then, if no good you can dump it. Or, just play it safe and take it back and tell the store the problem. They'll probably take it back without question and give you credit. This does not seem like something you should lose sleep over!
I just opened a fresh PH last night that was completely flat. Like almost zero carbonation. Drainpoured the entirety of it. Alpine really needs to sort out these bottling issues ASAP.
I stocked up this week and so far the two bottles I've had, albeit none have been Pure, have been just fine. I will pop a Pure tonight and report back. Cheers....
Houston we have a problem. I just popped a Pure and it is NOTeven close to what I would call acceptable. I am calling Alpine to let them know there is a problem on a large scale with Pure. None of my other bottles are bad. Cheers.....
Standard proceedure is to send the details to the brewery via eMail...going straight to the source and posting the responce should be your go-to move.
Under Carbonated Bottles of Pure Hoppiness We have traced the source of the under carbonated bottles of Pure Hoppiness to the power failure we experienced on July 31st. We tried our best to recover by alternate means after our carbonating stone got plugged up. We thought we had slightly low carbonation at the worst but it appears people feel otherwise. We will be trying to re-distribute bottles back to all the retail stores so they can handle exchanges. Bottles purchased in the brewery can be exchanged as long as supplies last. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Problem half way solved on this side. Stopped in at Total Wine to pick up bottles of the Stone's 16th Anny and decided to drive the extra block to WFM HB to see what they had in the back. Talked to manager about the bad Pure bottles I bought there last week. Gave me a voucher for credit towards new bottles of Pure the next time they come in. The problem is "when?" Thats okay. I'll be taking a trip down to ABC within the next few weeks and then we will see if they have taken care of the bad batch of Pure. Otherwise all is good. Got some 16th Anny to try a bit later. Cheers!
