Hello! I just bought a six pack of Anderson valley Heelch O'Hops DIPA. The problem is that i can't find a best before date. The only thing i can find printed on the bottom of the bottle bottle is 141995142. Do anyone know what that means?

14 is the year and I assume 199 is the bottle on date in the Julian calendar.

Personally I don't even fuck with em cause of their half ass can dates which is half off the can or spaced out and that's causing not legible reading in my experience. Their machine shoots crooked.

Thank you for your reply. So you mean it was bottled on the 199th day of 2014?

Well this was pretty easy to spot but why not just put a best before date that people understand.

I assume that's correct. I've only ever got cans of theirs and its Julian as well but its never easily legible.

They don't print the date on bottom. That is some other code that I think every beer bottle has. It's on the neck.

Yeah, the long series of numbers printed near the base of the bottle is typically the glass bottle manufacturer's code. The letters, numbers and other symbols (like the mfg'rs logo) embossed around the base usually includes a two-digit "year" of manufacture, as well.
