I am making a quick and dirty Amber Ale next week to use some some DME that is laying around. The recipe is as follows...

    5.5 lbs light DME
    12 oz 40l crystal
    8 oz 120l crystal
    8 oz victory

.4 oz columbus for 60 minutes
Idaho hop hash at 15, flame out, and dry hop

    Dry American Ale yeast

Who here has used hop hash? I cannot find much information online from people's experience with this product. It is very potent (31% alpha) so I need to be careful. I have 1 oz, so I was thinking about using .25oz at 15 minutes, .25 at flame out and .5 for dry hopping.

    Any thoughts on this?

Is it hop hash or lupulin powder? There is a difference. Hop Hash is the the ground up hop matter with much of the leaf taken out. Like unpelletized pellets. Lupulin Powder is freeze dried hops that are shattered and the oil is kept while the leaf matter is taken out.

Sounds like fun. I'd do 1/2 at FO/WP and the other 1/2 DH.
