Help with style classification

    I was trying to rate a draft only beer I had tonight and it wasn't listed. I have added a few beers before, but I was unsure which category it belonged to. It was an IPL (specifically an India Vienna Lager). It wouldnt be fair/appropriate to list it as a Vienna Lager. Should it be labeled as an American Pale Lager? Should there be an IPL category?

    So basically the beer was a hoppier than normal Vienna Lager? Then I'd say enter it as Vienna Lager. More appropriate than American Pale Lager if it used darker malt than just base malt.

    There can't be a new style category ever time a brewer makes a beer that is slightly out of style.
