Nope. Not Mike. Never actually traded with him that I can remember.

Soulforpeanuts says he sent me 2x Andescher Doppelbocks TWICE, neither time did the boxes arrive. He hasn't been seen since February. Oh well... I am only out an Ivan, Dissident, and I believe an Alaskan Barleywine.

Can anyone give me tips as to the preferred shipping methods? I would send fedex as that is how I get wine sent to me and have never has a problem. I am guessing you don't want to make it known you are sending alcohol though, but may be wrong. Just package it well and hope for the best? Any help it appreciated.

I am new to BA, still learning the process, doing some reading, and trying to figure out how best to enjoy beer I can't get my hands on down here in south florida. As a noob I would definitely be ok with shipping first. As mentioned, I can see the benefit of receiving first to see the packing methods of a seasoned veteran, but between google and several posts/articles I'm confident I'd be able to pack a box well enough. Hopefully I can show that there are still noobs popping up that will be worthwhile to have around

Ive never had a noob burn me or go MIA for bit. They usually carry out with their end on the same day i carry out with me. Ive never asked a noob to ship first only that we ship on the same day. Guess im just paying it forward since people never asked me to ship first when i first started.

If your probably shipping out beers with a greater value then maybe do have the noob ship first. Regardless, noobs are new and need to be taken with caution.

one awesome way to learn about trading is to have a local more seasoned trader help you send out your first few boxes and help you learn how to properly pack everything.

that sounds like a solid plan as well. I'll have to do some searching for south florida members in the regional forums that also trade. looking forward to trying some new stuff

I would put a note of caution with this... try and find the people who post in the non-trade forums a lot, those are the seasoned vets and involved newer people. If they have an ISO:FT up it's probably going to be around the right value. But some of the ISO:FT posts lately have been a little weird. The other thing you can gain from cruising the forums is getting to know who is from where. If you find a guy who posts a lot from around your area, which i know there are quite a few, then just send them a BM asking what they would offer for the Classic Gueuze.

By no means am i saying that the trade forum is a waste of time, there are still good trades out there. Just use caution.

and the straight answer to your question... i would think that certain RR stuff would go pretty far in terms of getting your desired Cantillion and Heady. I haven't seen a lot of Beatification on the forums lately so if you have some of that it could catch someone's eye.

I also think the classic comes in both 750s and 375s (anyone want to fact check me on that since im not as in to lambics/gueuzes/sours) The 375 should be much easier to get.
