It was $8 for extra pours, but the first two were sold with fees on Eventbrite.

I was more upset with the lack of choices.

What’s the issue w meadhall? I was just telling some craft newbies living near Kendall sq to do a little MH/LH/CBC crawl - haven’t done it myself in a couple of years but always made for a nice eclectic beer night. Things gone south atMH?

Prices at Lord Hobo and Meadhall often leave a lot to be desired.

I remember getting 2 pours of H&F at BBC Franklin last year for $18 or less in an actual bar.

Anybody heard anything about these guys lately? They no longer have a website, but seem to have a release this weekend. Can't help but wonder if they stepped back a bit after all of the issues earlier this year to sort it out, or if they are another casualty.

think they’ve ditched a website and just use social media. I think they delayed one of their releases because of a glycol failure. Think they’ve just been releasing sours haven’t seen a stout come through in a while. Looks like tickets are still available for this release weekend. Guessing people don’t want to prepay for allotments anymore as they force you to buy two four packs at $22 a piece.
No idea what’s going on with the taproom that’s been under construction

Personal opinion here but I’d be totally fine with them being another casualty.

Awful stouts, bad pricing and the worst customer service.

I said I’m done with this brewery a long time ago and intend to leave it that way.

I have a H&F glass if someone wants it. FREE. I’m in Chelmsford

I threw out my glass and growlers. Never again. I'll be happy when they go under.

When more than half of the overpriced product you've tried is infected at best or turns into high explosive at worst, and the remaining portion is just shitty beer, count me right the fuck out bud.

Surprised to hear the minimum purchase is down to $44, they used to try to gouge at least 100 bucks out of you.

Maybe im the outlier but the interactions I've had with the owner has been awesome - hoping they can get it together.

I'm hoping they can reimburse everyone like they said they would for the infected beer they sold. Not gonna happen. They can't go under fast enough for me.

Hoping for them to go out of business instead of turn things around and improve? Kind of a shitty attitude... Your interactions with the owner were that bad?

I know they have some supporters, and maybe they're great people, but like... that's insane.

If you're referring to my comment, the shitty attitude is well deserved. They earned every ounce of it.

I guess color me fortunate I've never been onsite for purchase of their beer? The several times I've been out at bars and had their IPAs on tap they've been excellent.

Seems pretty harsh that people are wishing them to failure. Remember, we are talking about people's livelihoods at the end of the day.

That said, H&F has always struck me as hobbyists with zero idea how to run a business. Customer service is basically non-existent for them unfortunately. To me that's usually a sign someone's in over their head and needs to fill the gap with people that know what they're doing, which I don't think they have.

On the other side, I also think it's worth mentioning that some of the onus is on us as consumers of their product, which is totally unproven. When you're seeking out beer in this hobby you're bound to have some misses - not everything can be great. If we didn't experience the bad we wouldn't be grateful for the good.

Can and should H&F be better if they want to be a player in the super competitive MA scene? Without question. But don't wish their death with words - just don't buy their beer.

We are allowed to try to warn others about an aweful (opinion) brewery so they don't make the same mistake(s) many of us have made

Don't worry, there are plenty of us that "just don't buy their beer."

@DrewLS , you must have missed their refusal to allow minimun purchases, infected and exploding beers, then their arguing with unhappy customers on social media. Don't forget when they agreed to give refunds then totally ghosted customers who were stuck with infected IEDs. I'm sure I missed other instances, but those are the ones that come to mind first

Name another brewery that compares and stays in business. I'll wait

Does this place have a tap room? I emailed the owners, messaged through instagram, no response. I don't know whether to try to stop there on my trip to Boston or not. Shouldn't be this hard to give someone some business!
