What's the backstory - was it garbage the first time?

Their skittles sour was the one beer I've had that wasn't a disappointment - honestly if you told me it was a soda I'd have believed that much more readily than it being a beer, so I can see people genuinely liking these candy sours.

That said a 1 in 5 hit rate as regards to their beer even being drinkable ain't nearly enough for me to play ball, and I saw multiple posts from the same release about people sitting on the cans longer than I did and having refermentation issues. Everything else I've tried was at best a horribly unbalanced mess, and at worst infected and/or literally an explosive bottle bomb. Not looking to play russian roulette where one pull is "Mmm yummy sugar drink" and the other is "face full of explosive glass shards."

Using Untappd as a means to gauge the quality of a beer is like using Facebook to get unbiased political news.

It always surprised me to see their insta posts showing all the cany ingredients they buy at literal straight retail...not even Costco. I think that's a very good indicator that these guys really don't have ill intent in their marketing or selling of beer, they're just in over their heads.

I've had I think 4-5 of their beers and the only one I found myself enjoying was a sour IPA brewed with some sort of sorbet; it was unique and I still haven't had anything like it. I'll give them credit for trying out things never before done, but that's about it.

The stout that was brewed with reese's peanut butter cups was...chunky...

dunno if it was here or the Facebook group where someone posted a picture of a h+f bottle that exploded on their shelf and embedded itself into the top of the shelf above it.

Yeah that was mine, luckily it was in a basement and no one was around but after seeing photos of home brewers bottle bomb accidents and glass embedded in drywall those suckers can pop pretty good.

My stouts foamed over upon opening and were infected. I learned pretty quick to open my Skittles in the sink as they shot out upon opening. The hate is earned @YourDigitalGrave.

I thought they were extremely small batch. I didn't think you could find cans in a store.
