We’re doing a soccer tournament in Hershey on Father’s Day weekend (hotel is in Carlisle) and staying until Monday. I’ll have my own car on the ride back (I have to meet them there due to work) but I was wondering if there were any breweries worth checking out in that area (hopefully hitting Troegs and Pizza Boy) or bottle shops that have some stuff I can’t get in NY. I’d like to find some New Trail stuff if possible too.

I’m open to any suggestion and if anything, plan to hit a Bottle King or Joe Canal’s near some highway in NJ on my way home. I know Mondays and breweries don’t go together at most places.

    Go to Breskis

Its the best shop in the area IMO. I grew up near there and know the beer guy there, Jeff from High School.
Its maybe a 30 min drive from Carlisle, but much closer to Hershey. They will have New Trail for sure.

If you want to check out an OG brewpub in Carlisle. Market Cross has been around forever. English pub menu and feel. Beers are decent to good.
But if you have limited time there are better breweries to hit.
Evergrain being the one I would recommend.

Enjoy the trip and good luck in the tourney!

Following Breski’s on IG. I will most definitely be checking this place out. Thank you.

No problemo! Def get some South County beers and ask for Jeff, he can show you the best and newest stuff on the shelves, or in the cooler based on what you want and preferences.
Enjoy the visit, bring a big cooler for the car!!

My plan is to hit Breski’s, and I’m like 90% sure I’ll make it there. Got my kid’s schedule and it’s not the best. Her Saturday games are middle of the day (going to Hershey afterwards, the entire team and parents) and we’re looking at 10am and 2pm on Sunday. I know it seems many of you aren’t too familiar with Carlisle itself but I’m eyeballing 2 places that seem to be in town, proper, in case I’m in a pinch: Beverage Express and Stan’s. I would appreciate ANY advice.

Beverage Express is far superior to Stan’s. While it’s smaller, they get better, harder to get stuff. Their beers are mostly refrigerated where 95% of Stan’s isn’t.

Also in Carlisle is Molly Pitchers. It’s not mind blowing but solid.

In/near Hershey is Rotunda Brewing. Mainly doing IPAs and fruited sours. Englewood is a beautiful building, their beers are also good, they do more traditional styles.
