Hello fellow craft beer advocates!! I been coming to this website to check out info on beers for long time now.. I had decent amount of California craft journey and I been on a joy ride for quite sometime now.. Finally made an account with beeradvocate and looking to trade and all the other good stuff. Thanks for reading and cheers!!
Welcome to a drop in your work productivity and checking account balance. You have to be on the site for 30 days before you can post in the trading forum, so spend some time participating in some general forum conversations, rating the beers you've have, adding the beers you want, and tracking the beers you have in your possession. That way, people can see what you have available for trades.
People will find a way to give you a hard time. Grammar, punctuation, opinion, ect. Take it all in stride and try and get what you came here for out of it. Don't ever let anyone discourage you from trying beers; form your own opinion. Cheers.
best advice, even if you can get in the gate, doesn't mean you should run the race. Meaning: be careful of a couple of things: 1. over extending yourself on trades. Realize that even though your shipping 50 bucks of beer, it's really probably costing 65. 2. as a new trader, expect scrutiny. You migh be the best person on earth with the best intentions. But you have to eat some ass to get to the prize. Take some ribbing, ship first, establish yourself, and away you go. 3. find some fellow BA's in your area. This helps you not only get advice, but also you meet some good guys that will help show yu the ropes and maybe educate you on what you should be searching for, or even show you a new style you haven't experienced yet. there is much more, but have fun. Cheers, and welcome to the fold.
