Hey Iowans! Toppling Goliath?

It is very rare that they ever bottle anything, and it's super small numbers. They do fill growlers at the tap room in Decorah though.

 

If you have the patience to wait a few months, you will be able to get some bottles. They are building a new brewhouse as we speak.

There has been some other stuff released, but in limited quantities. Assassin Imperial Stout is really the only reasonable thing to acquire, however I don't think a ton of it wound up in the hands of traders.

 

You in Kansas Shebby? Be a bit of a drive to Decorah I'm sure. I live about an hour from there(Rochester, MN) sending a growler via FedEx might work, can wrap it up real good. They are doing a new beer with Riwaka hops in late Oct as well. Never had MF, it was on tap last time I was there last month, but was focused on other stuff. Let me know if there is something you might want sent in a growler, and I can look into it.

 

It's all going to change by next spring shebby! If you check out some other post by me you will see the details of our new filling line being delivered and set up in Nov, it is the same as Russian River uses, and in December we will be setting up our new 4 vessel 30 bbl brewhouse and new taproom. Although our beer will be easier to get, the trip to Decorah may still be worth it as each of our two breweries will have unique, brewery location only small batch creations! Cheers!

I have a buddy going on saturday and filling my growler. What should i have it filled with?

 

I've had the Golden Nugget and the PseudoSue. Both were great, but I liked PseudoSue a little better.

 

Any special bottles in the back I should have him ask for?

 

WooHoo! After talking about it for a year now, I'm finally going to make the road trip up to Toppling Goliath tomorrow. Up for some brews, followed by camping in Decorah then down for some disc golf in Urbana and North Liberty Sunday. Going to be a fun but tiring weekend.

 

I've heard some talk about this brewery and I'm intrigued. Sort of area that I would have a hard time getting to, but you never know! I might be interested in swapping for a growler of the Golden Nugget with a local or visitor. No rush, live here in Northern Colorado so the breweries are unlimited and so many solid choices!

 

If they have Zeelander, definitely look at that one... fantastic.
