Hey Rookie....Welcome to DLD!

As of Monday (the latest tap list update on the web site), Zombie Dust was no longer listed as available in bottles at the brewpub. I haven't been up there, but may stop up there tonight, so can't say if this is still the case. Remember, there will be 6000+ people at DLD and there is only going to be a limited supply of their brews, the most sought after being ZD. My guess is that many people, like you, are coming in from out-of-town with the intent of purchasing several cases especially ZD. If you'll be in the area Thursday or Friday, I'd stop up there before DLD, because I don't see FFF having the ability to supply the amount of ZD that will be demanded especially with several hundred if not several thousand people buying multiple cases.

That being said in the past they have allowed you to take beer to your car and return.

 

We were group A and were able to walk right back in to buy Evil Power and stuff like that. Must have just been mixed messages from the security guys.

 

YES - this. At the anniversary party, I had to offer the "bouncer" guy to buy my case of ZD and haggle with them for like 5 minutes before they would even let me in to walk the 5 feet to buy my ZD (and the ZD, Alpha Claus and rest of the traditional beers were right by the exit to the other warehouse area.) I rememeber at 2010 DLD, I tried to go buy the non-DL's after I took my DL to my car and they weren't having any of it.

All I can say is if you really want it, you better get it on your way through.

I don't blame them for being tough though, too many people try to cheat the system.

 

I think this is new but on Sunday they had a separate room to the left of the main pub entrance for purchasing bottles. I don't remember seeing that the previous couple times I was there.

 

It's on the board in the take out room right now. I've seen several people carry out cases over the past two hours. Thinking I might grab a case tonight so I don't have to deal with it Saturday. Prosit!
