Any of you guys that have been around for a while, maybe you have some old Rainier Brewery breweriana in an old aunts attic? Specifically, we're looking for old photos of the Mountain Room, the bar room where you would get your "tasting samples" after a tour. We've not had luck poking around in the usual on-line suspects, so I thought I'd ask here. Thanks in advance!
I talked to my Dad about it. He did the tour before and remembers that space but doesn't have any swag or photos. I wonder if UW's archives would have any old photos?
That's a good idea, we'll look into it. My work has the bar, and we use it in an events space, so we're hoping to find some pics to hang.
The Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) has an searchable archive of photos too. Did not find the Mountain Room, but a cool picture of the Bayview Brewery bottling room in 1902. Rainier was one of their brands but it probably precedes the time you're looking for. It looks like almost as much beer on the floor as is bottles.
