Looking for some input on a Hibiscus Saison I have fermenting in primary. I used 2.5 oz in the last 4 minutes of the boil. It added a little color and flavor. At the end of secondary I'm going to add about 3 oz for a day or so to magnify the color and flavor. Wondering if it is best to dry hop with the hibiscus petals or make a tea from them and then add the tea to secondary? Any suggestions?

The one and only time I did this, I made a tea with them and then added it at bottling. My only regret is that I should have used more, as the color and flavor wasn't where I wanted it to be.

Edit - after giving some additional thought, it would probably make sense to use it in a whirlpool at the end of the boil and then also consider using a tea at bottling if the flavor/color isn't where you want it.

Make a tea and blend a smaller portion to taste/appearance before commiting the whole batch.
