Really wish I could go, as OH is my favorite NC brewry. I'll be at the beach though sadly. Thanks for posting!

I love Hickory Hops, one of my favorite fests every year! Forecast for Saturday looks great right now, too.

We made it out - third year in a row.

What amazed you this year? I had a hard time straying from Wicked Weed & Trophy - those guys are slaying it.

This was my first year going, as it was my first year in Hickory. I was just amazed in general. Well organized, great weather, and great beer. I enjoyed Raleigh Brewing's coffee porter, everything Wicked Weed, Catawba's Le Sexxy Saison, Fullsteam's Rocket Science IPA, and Highland's 20th anniv. Those are just highlights I remember off the top of my head. I don't think I had a beer I didn't enjoy. Looking forward to next year.

Recall which one? They are brewing 20 special releases, with 4 out now.

They had the Scotch ale, also Triangle brewing had a lambic called Rufus that was quite good and Natty Greene brought that 2013 American Sour that was very tasty!

Great festival - very well organized. Not too overwhelming - maybe 50-60 different breweries so you can make your way around and taste many of them. Been 2 years in a row and plan to go back next year.

Yes, that's a good pint. The only one of the first 4 that they have bottled, so might still be available for a limited time.
