Hidden Gems

kinda missed the ideal visiting season for it, but though their beer isn't insanely good or anything, Buzzards Bay Brewing in Westport is an amazing spot on a nice day. Just a beautiful property in Westport farm country not too far from the water. Very easy to stop in after a day at Horseneck Beach.

The do have some minor gems, too. Boo is a really nice brown, WestPorter a nice.. porter, and their 21 Whacks Red IPA is one of my favorites for that style.

 

Cold Harbor is releasing cans of Indian Summer (DDH Galaxy IPA) and Mustache (Coffee Stout) this Sunday. Think its a mixed case total at $15 a 4 pack, which is pretty fairly priced IMO.

Only thing is they canned the beer about a week ago and are releasing it this Saturday... not sure why they're holding it back. With how crazy everyone goes about drinking fresh beer, you would think they would be anxious to start selling them.

 

Consider Brick & Feather. It's a bit further than an hour, but an enjoyable ride. If these guys were canning, they'd be all the rage. Hopefully that doesn't happen immediately.
