Yeah me too. They have a separate Facebook page for "Armstrong Alehouse", and while there is a recent post about a beerfest, the last mention about an opening was on April 7, "We are hoping for a summertime opening."

i talked to the owner about a month ago, and at that time, they just recently got the approval to do their demo/renovations. id expect something mid-next year.

I finally made it out to Hidden River yesterday. Well worth the hour drive. The beers I tried were all solid, plus as a bonus, they had a local wine that my wife really enjoyed. Looks like it would be a great place to hang out outside in the warmer weather.

To me, Hidden River is what I expected Tired Hands to be like, before I ever went there..

Yeah, they use the outdoor bar and have some of the beers on tap out there.

What's really strange though is that whole huge house and they only use on small room....and it gets croweded. Small bar too.

the middle room was opened up in February which allowed passage to the restrooms and the big room in the back. Previously you had to walk outside to access the back.

Beyond the bar room is a room with tables (they have a few board games the shelf if you're with a group), and then further in the back there is a larger room where they've had live music.

Ah, ok I didn't venture around. But the bar was small, maybe 6 or 7 seats only.

6 seats at the bar, 20 at tables.

Had my 5th outing to this brewery over the weekend. General consensus is I love the beers. Creativity and consistency seem to be something they strive for. My only complaint is their inability to move the line or segregate it for people wanting a glass vs those wanting to fill growlers. All day Saturday the line was into the back dining room. I feel if they can somehow figure that out things would be perfect.

I guess they now have a crowler machine?

They must have pre-filled crowlers. Their post on Instagram also included:

"Ozzaca: An Oat IPA, single hopped with the lovely Azzaca! Pungent grapefruit, drippy citrus, silky complexity. 7.6% ABV. *No growler fills until Crowlers are gone."

I guess that streamlines things if there is a crowd waiting for fills, and you don't have to worry about the fragility of glass. But if they charge more, I'd rather just use a growler I already own.

So 3 new IPAs this weekend? Ozzaca, Social Secession & Loyal to the Soil. Wow, I might run up there tonight.

On FB they are saying +$1 for crowler over the growler price.
