I second the Barrel Aged Narwhal, I had mine on Thanksgiving and it definitely did the trick. Glad I split it with someone, but would have happily killed it by myself.

Let me know if for some reason you don't see it in NJ

It's your Father In Law so my first bit of advice is don't limit yourself only $20.
Instead, drop an extra 5 bucks and get a bottle of North Coast Old Stock 2011
Cellar Reserve if you can. This beer is guaranteed to please.

If you give someone a bomber, you don't share it with them. What's wrong with you?
Get 2, give him one, and THEN you have one left to share him.

My FIL is a loyal Mich Golden Light drinker, but he really enjoyed the Odell's 180 Shilling I brought over on Thanksgiving.

A bomber doesn't need to be in the $20 range to be special

BA Narwhal would be outstanding, but those didn't last all that long and some places were a bit pricy.

    Plenty of em.

Just got BA Narwhal and Extremely Angry Beast for $17 each.

Most bombers over $20 are some type of sour or barrel aged, and even then BA beers can be found in the $10-$20 range.

I would recommend blaecorn unidragon by clown shoes. It's pretty cheap compared to others in this thread, and pretty easy to find. Great imperial stout.
