Not happy about it. You get 8 ounces less and pay more for it than a 6-pack. Just paid $10.99 for a 4-pack of 16oz. cans ($.17/oz.) +30%. I'd say there are far better beers out there for $8.99 for a 6-pack of 12oz ($0.13/oz). Anyone else seeing this in their area? Any benefits to doing it this way? Less waste? Cheaper to produce? Higher profits since you spend less in cans (higher beer/can material ratio)? More shelf space? Inquiring minds want to know.
If you dont make as much of the beer, then 4 packs are the only way to go. How do you feel about straight 4 pack of 12 oz bottles. Backwoods Bastard is $15 per pack. thats almost $4 per bottle. KBS is $5 per bottle. Its the only way to do specialty smaller batch and some BA beers.
Yup, bought a 4 pack of Apollo last night for $9. I am sure this equates to more profits for the businesses that do it. If it didn't, then why would they do it at all? It kind of bites, but not so much that I won't pay it (for now). If they were 12 oz bottles then I may have passed....
Yea, but the beer I was buying was a Rye IPA, it's not like it was barrel-aged like Backwoods Bastard & KBS. I don't mind higher prices for barrel-aging.
If that's the beer I'm thinking it is, they might be trying to squeeze some extra capital out of it. Their brewery probably wasn't cheap
Oh look, another $/.oz thread. Hey OP, if you aren't happy about it, why did you buy it? Vote with your dollar.
