Highest rated beer you have chugged...

The last time I chugged a beer was many moons ago. Don't remember what it was but I can guarantee it was the cheapest one I could find as back then I just tossed them back to get wasted. Now that I have grown older and wiser, and my palate has become refined, I sip and enjoy.

 

This year, February 19 Russian River BC at a table of 6, getting ready to leave when i notice my sister still has a tab left on her bracelet (for those who don't know during the 3 weeks that pliny the younger is avail you get a bracelet on entry with 3 tabs attached and you are only alotted 3 8oz pty on your visit), so anyway, with my "leave no Pliny behind" moto i get the server to bring our last PTY and slammed it as the rest of my party was walking out the door. my GF did manage to get a photo of me and I use it as my avatar photo on BA. Beat that!

I don't really "chug" beers. But beers that I drink entirely, over the course of between 5-10 minutes? I've done that with Victory's Dirtwolf DIPA a bunch of times. Tonight being a good example. It's just totally crushable to me.

Alot of those juicy IPA's go just hit the spot for me on a hot day though, especially after working double time on a stressful day. 1 Dirt Wolf in rapid succession brings me out of work mode and into chill mode.

 

I have shotgunned both Heady Topper and Ten Fidy. That Ten Fidy was tad bit difficult to shotgun.

 

I got tagged in this "chug a beer" challenge awhile back. I wanted to one up the last guy, so I chugged a Great Lakes Blackout stout instead of the usual light fare. Actually not that hard with the smooth body and low carbonation.

Three years ago I was flying through the Manchester, NH airport coming home from a business trip and the weather was bad. My flight to Philly was delayed two hours so I decided to get something to eat along with a bottle of Chimay Blue Label since I was evidently stuck for another "two hours". How wrong I was ( ). That two hour delay all of a sudden was chopped in half and I'm faced with the remaining 325 ml in the bottle. Airport rules says no alcoholic beverages leaves the area. So-oooooo .... drink the rest or leave the rest. (No brainer there.) - Needless to say ... the flight to Philly went really fast!!

 

Last Sunday, after yard work, a can of New Belgium Citradelic went down pretty damn quick

 

And we have a winner.

 

On the 4th of July at my friends yearly gathering they had an ice luge and a funnel and all I had was Treehouse. I ended up funneling a Green and sending 3/4ths of a Kinggg JJJulius down the luge later.

 

Last Saturday I chugged my glass of Upland Cherry Lambic because I'm an idiot. @Hopgoddess312 has the video. My insides hurt for 3 hours.

I was with my cousin in Temecula, about to drive to San Diego with my family to go hang out and eat at Hodads. It's local burger spot everyone loves. My cousin and I stopped at the liquor store for a redbull, when I seen a BCBS in the cooler. Fuck the redbull I told him lol we snatched up a bottle and went back to the car. We had about 10 minutes before we were gonna take off to Diego, so we popped it open and each chugged half. That was my cousins first experience with BCBS lol he was pretty saucin after that one lol

So then we finally make it down to Diego, and While waiting for a seat at Hodads, my cousin and i went next store to the liquor spot and found a 4 pack of Founders breakfast stout, which was my first time ever finding it. so like giggly little girls, we bought it and ran to the car. They called our name to be seated as soon as we got in and popped the cap, So we chugged away. That was a good day of chugging lol that burger never tasted better haha

 

Goose Island Bourbon County Barleywine. Was taking a tour of the place and didn't realize I had to finish the snifter before crossing the street to see their barrel room. It wasn't easy, and made me really sad. That beer deserved better than slamming

Since chugging good beer is a sin, I poured.

Had a bomber of Boulevard Bourbon Barrel Quad, I was about 1/3 the way through it. Phone rang, my sis was on her way to the hospital. I didn't have a stopper, so I poured down the remaining two glasses. Some breath mints en route to the hospital, and no one said a word. My memory after that point is a bit foggy.

 

I'm not a chugger, I just can't and really never could. I did shotgun a can of Black Label in HS in front of my mom and dad, showing off.

 

Not certain, but New Glarus Serendipity was a recent chug, and that's rated 97, so that's probably the one. Circumstances were not ideal and it was either leaving the full beer or chug. Obvious choice.
