Kind of a side question. I’ll be in Wyoming in August, connecting at Rock Springs to go north. Of the options there, what would be most recommended?

I reckon that my favourites are Roadhouse Wilson, Snake River Pako's, and Melvin 2x4.

West Coast does not recognize Wyoming

Does West Coast need glasses? And I don't mean glasses of beer. Or do I?

Yes we typically think it is Colorado.

One of them needs a pan handle

If you're thirsty arriving, Rock Springs does have three breweries. I passed through last summer on the way to Denver and was surprised a small town in WY would have three. I didn't have much time so Square State Brewing was the only one I went to. Beer was good that I remember.

But Melvin is the WY brewery to look for. They make some excellent IPAs. Especially 2x4.

My Mom was born in SW Wyoming. I was there in 2019 and looking forward to coming back. Going to an event East of Lander.

Wind River is worth a stop if you breeze through Pinedale. Agreed that Pako’s is great as is Melvin 2x4. But don’t count out Melvin IPA

An aunt lives in Sheridan which is smaller than Rock Springs; they, too, have three breweries.

    Agree about Melvin.

I fully support all of this. Glad to see Snake River getting lots of love, they're my personal choice for best WY brewery.

I passed through Pinedale last trip but didn’t realize there was a brewery there until after I got home. I’d certainly would have stopped had I known.

Talking about Sheridan, rmdownward should also be looking for Black Tooth beer. No idea what their distribution is though.
