So this was Batch 2? I had some tonight, and yeah, it was pretty damn amazing.

 

Hell yeah, looking forward to trying some batch 2 tonight!!!

 

Wait, so does that mean when I was there a couple weeks ago I was still consuming Batch 1?

yeah, batch 2 just got put on last night.

 

Did everyone else get TWO emails about the bottle release? Or is one of these the earlybird special (like pre-GJG) that I'm going to somehow mis-manage and hence miss out on?

 

are the two emails different?

 

One was beer friends yesterday with a email specific link, so once you use it to buy bottles, you can't use that link again/it wont let you buy anymore from that one.

The one today was the general link for public sale on Friday.

 

Raised eyebrows new batch is delicious. Body is bigger than the last one, the 100% barrel aged really helped. Higher acid but deeper and less tart, more juicy. The increased structure really lets the flavors develop and get layered on the palate. A nice step up from the last batch which was already awesome.

Let me just say the beer friends quasi society is amazing. Good guys hpb for hooking up loyal customers.

 

Was there tonight. Agree on Raised Eyebrows. Incredible. And I'm not a huge sour guy. Really showcases the fruits.

Forgot to say that wake up is killing it too. I could drink that beer all night. Actually reminds me of a bolder more amplified Guinness with a kick of smooth rich coffee. (Which is not a knock, I love me a pint of Guinness)

 

Shit, I totally missed that it was on nitro and didn't have any. I had the RB b2 and the Beachwood pale ale thingie block 4 street 7 or whatever.

On Tuesday it wasn't on, but that GJG was still tasting so good. Also, that Partly Cloudy deserves some love. It's really good.

 

I'm going to tick away on Friday

 

When I first tried partly cloudy it was the first thing I had when I was there and I felt it was a little light, didnt hit me right, then I followed it with achiever which kind of turned my tastebuds back on and I couldnt stop thinking about partly cloudy so I got another partly cloudy and fucking loved it. just such a nice aroma and so chuggable.

 

I feel like partly cloudy was different than their usual stuff. For people that complain their iPas are a bit thin, this is a bigger funkier ipa. A lot more funk complexity , almost an earthy savage character on the palate. I really liked it
