Highland Park Brewery thread

It's very simple. For most, they associate that the brewery in the back of the Hermosillo is part of the company and thus, HPB and Hermosillo get interchanged very frequently.

Even though when you talk to anyone, they're two different entities, but since they're in the same building, that's the confusion. It also doesn't help differentiate much when Bob is working the bar on Mondays, so even those who do know Bob the brewer, seeing him do work behind the bar goes to create more perception that it's all under the same branch when it's not.

 

Moving on. Who's going to The Hermosillo on Sunday? 4pm Brown Bag share "Best of 2015"

 

I'm going once I get back from Modern Times. Should be a good time. Last year was nuts.

I'll try and make it. I had a great time last year as well, my top 3 beers from Best of 2014 were fou foune, maltose falcon, and rue d'floyd...

 

Let me chime in here. I am the one that sent the request to the site editors to add HPB to the already created Hermosilo listing. Since they both share the same address, they couldn't be separate listings from what I researched.

 

Anyone coming down for the Modern Times party?
Interested in getting a bottle of Raised Eyebrows, have yet to try anything from them.

 

But they dont share an address... Hermosillo goes by 5125 and Highland Park Brewery goes by 5127...

Wake Up in a Crunch on nitro on at Hermosillo. Pretty tasty but just a bit of cinnamon in the aftertaste. B1 and B2 Raised Eyebrows, too, but I had to jam before trying B1.

 

I'm trying to squeeze a trip in right now..

 

Will be stopping by this evening, god willing. As an aside, I put an offer in on a house that is 3 minutes from HPB, according to Google

What's their growler policy? Just moved up to LA and am going there for the first time tomorrow to pick up bottles. Also, does it get pretty crowded during a Saturday evening especially considering it's a release weekend? Thanks.

 

You'd be 2 minutes closer than I am...I'm so jealous.

I'll be grabbing my Raised Eyebrows and Company of Parrots bottles tonight, so maybe I'll try to surreptitiously sneak a peak at you weirdos (or even say hi.)

 

Pretty sure they'll fill anything appropriate, unmarked or others, too.

 

priorities

Picked up my bottles and tried Batch 1 & 2 Raised Eyebrows side-by-side. The new batch was much brighter and in your face. Batch 1, obviously, was much more subdued. GJG was still drinking great. Was bummed to see no Achiever but Bonkers was pretty darn good

also, dat Pulled Pork special

 

They'll fill any 32/64 (they'll just wrap the growler if it's got another brewery's label). Not sure about 2L swing tops.
