update: Turbo tasting real good. as good as it was, it was overshadowed by the 'dilla. all kidding aside, best 'dilla in LA. I need the recipe. obviously there's corn but there's some secret, spicy sauce in there. christ

 

Look, I'm all for the new beer to get its spotlight, but Master Cool did not get the love and attention it so rightly deserved.

 

Master Cool was fantastic. I intend to go try the new beer tomorrow but my growler - if it's still up for fills - is coming back home filled with Master Cool.

 

I went to go get a 2L fill of Master cool on July 4th. Packed. They only had one person working the bar. She was so busy she filled my 2L growler halfway (i guess bubbles?) and sealed it to go for me. Didn't notice it until I opened it.

Nice beer. Their haze still needs a bit more body to it, but it's slowly getting there

 

Both Master Cool and Turbo Flavor are on for fills today. Decisions, decisions...

I freakin' love the Master Cool.

 

Didn't care much for Turbo today. Maybe I'll revisit on Friday.

 

I suppose I should mention I notched another one for the elote crew. Also insanely glad Master Cool was still available for growler fills.

Help Yourself is still the best beer.

 

HPB should do brunch on the weekends. Imagine an elote breakfast 'dilla

 

all about dat elote lyfe Just need some Timbo (or even danbo) to get on that tap list already.

Super Cloud Can Release this weekend. From the email:

Hey there fellow beer enthusiasts!

We'll be selling Super Cloud Hazy IPA this Saturday, July 22nd starting around 12pm noon. It will be $18/4 pack, (3-4, 4-pack limit per person). We will have around 100 cases and the sale will be in the back of our parking lot (5125 York Blvd. LA, CA 90042) by the brewery.

Beer Details:

Super Cloud - Hazy IPA - Super Cloud is packed full of Galaxy, Amarillo, and Vic Secret hops. It utilizes an expressive, fruity yeast and a malt bill full of oats for a soft, round mouthfeel. Enjoy! 7% abv.

nice. Those that miss the Noble Ale releases will love this Saturday release !

 

And those that don't miss them will hope that HPB also moves to online sales, sooner than later.

 

Can sales haven't been an issue at HPB at all. Frankly, if you show up late, you can still get a full allotment of the past handful of releases. Even Bonkers had a window of a week that you could have gotten cans. Online for cans at the small production numbers is just asking for too much.

 

Yeah but Bonkers was a West Coast IPA. A very delicious IPA, mind you, but it doesn't quite draw the crowds like the haze craze does these days.

 

Cloud Party sold out in a few hours.
