Sunday I had Raised Eyebrows b2, Sun Soaked, and Occupied, fucking A, I am so glad I have a great brewery nearby, their sours, stouts, and IPAs are all I need. Don't need that Gloom or whatever the strong dark ale with prunes or whatever it si, that's for sure.

Gloom's fantastic, IMO, same with 7 to 5, the Belgian style pale with brett

lol, boo hoo, so sad. That means you're also closer to Beachwood than those of us right next to HPB. I guess what I'm saying is it's a pretty good time to be in LA for once as far as beer goes.

Gloom just wasn't really my style, but it wasn't bad. That 7 to 5 though, I can drink that all day...

I had it at the end of a tasting on Saturday so I wasn't sure if it tasted fantastic because it was so different than what I'd just been drinking or if it was really fantastic, but glad to hear there's a chance it was the latter

Other than 3 or 4 accounts that they self distribute, yeah their beer doesn't make it to stores. I know two are Sunset Beer Company and Vendome Beverly Hills. Bob typically has to know them fairly well to get their beer and not much makes it past whatever gets sold on Eventbrite.

As for Gloom, it's not in their wheelhouse of beer styles to make, but it was a solid offering. Then again, you folks have come to know that my opinion on them is a little bias.

Damn, I feel good living close to them as my local.

Partly Cloudy for me tonight. Even though there was a Gloom taster floating around when I got there I just couldn't bring myself to drink it.

Flying into in LA from Australia and will be in LA for 1 night on Saturday, staying in Echo Park, hoping to get a growler fill from Highland Park whilst I'm there. Do these guys sell branded or blank growlers?

If they are branded, who is likely to sell blank swing top growlers (blanks seem to filled by more breweries based on Californiagrowlerfills.com), I will probably drop into a Wholefoods, Ramirez Liquor and Sunset Beer, any of these places likely to have them?

I think you are wanting to know where to get a growler for a fill at Highland Park? If so, they do sell their own growlers, I believe the are like $5 for a 32 oz and $10 for a 64 oz, but I could be off by a few dollars. Highland park does fill blank growlers but most breweries in the area only fill their branded growlers.

FYI Saturday Smog City is releasing Infinite Wishes (can still buy bottles) and will have a great tap list. They are not far from LAX

HPB will also put tape around a branded growler for you and fill it

Stone Pasadena sells blank flip tops. Amazon also sells the stainless steel flip top so you could always ship it to wherever you are staying?

Thanks for all the helpful responses guys, I think I'll give one of the suggested home brew places a call, or else just get a HPB growler.
