really freaking good. One of the best saisons I've had in socal. It actually reminded me a lot of SARA's stuff. We were joking that if you slapped a SARA label on it people would be freaking out and ISO. Can't wait for it to be bottled.

While most of HPB's sours tend to be very precise and lean this one was full bodied and well structured. It held up the alcohol really well and had a ton of complexity.

So much good stuff in the room yesterday wish I didn't have to head home after a hour and a half

How's BAGJG tasting? I'm sitting on one more at home and every time I see it I have to convince myself to let it age a little more...

Picked up bottles today and while everything I had was good, Help Yourself was a standout. That beer was so good...

Oh, I didn't think it was hot the last time I had it - I'm just wondering if anything's changed with age.

I saw Cat Delivery made it to 38degrees in Monrovia. If you haven't gone to HPB to try it you should check it out. Hell of a DIPA. Loaded with that crisp citra and it hides the 9.5% really well.

Was definitely impressed with Cat Delivery. Great time at the Lazy Susan release... so many stand outs and happy I was early enough to get bottles.

I'll be the lone dissenter and say that I wasn't in love with cat delivery. Had it yesterday at HPB, a little too malty and sweet for my liking, almost drinks more like a TIPA, which I rarely enjoy. Partly cloudy, hello, LA and Junior Junior were all phenomenal though.

I enjoyed Cat Delivery (I bought a growler), but I would prefer hello LA. Actually, I would prefer most of their other IPA's, but all their IPA's are so good. Their worst IPA was hola LA but that is because I don't want spicy in my IPA, I want it in my food.

I'm with ya. To heavy and boozy for me. I have a love/hate relationship with the HPB hoppy beers.

Made the drive up from San Diego to pick up bottles this past weekend. Was only able to grab a glass of Lazy Susan (damn tasty) as I still had Smog City and Monkish bottles to get. Really wish I could have stayed as the tap list looked great. Also noticed they had quite a few of their older released bottles for on site consumption, all of which I've yet to try, besides Woodshop. Will definitely be making another trip up soon to enjoy more of their beers.

For the record, walterfredo/daveafrank are both accurate in that it is sweeter than other HPB beers. I don't know that I found it, personally, to be particularly "malty" in character aside from that sweetness, and for its ABV not particularly boozy, but that's quibbling semantics.

I loved it, but I can definitely see why people might not, and even I think a hair more attenuation would have done it some good.

I still intend to go fill some growlers before I leave LA with it

I don't think it was under attenuated...I just get too much mid-palate sweetness with all the HPB hoppy beers over 7%
